The Reign of Dragons spans from approximately 10 million to 2.5 million years ago, within the Gaeaic Eon. During this time, dragons covered all six planes of Alaria, securely at the top of the social and natural food chain.
Nagatayora, eldest and proudest of Gaea's children, spawned a species that would become the most powerful creatures since the Age of Titans. Ulvma and Shara Bolasi became the first of their own species, populating the forests and plains. As sibling species, the three groups — dragons, wolves, and lions — would never prey on each other, a fact that remains true among the Naga, Sharabha, and Ulvsjael today.
The Walk of Elves: 2.5 million years ago
The druids, slowly diminishing over millennia but never dying of natural causes, created the elves from the branches of trees, the stones and mud from rivers, and the life from the druids themselves. The elves were made in the druids' images, sharing their pointed ears, slender forms, and graceful movement, and have similar appreciations for nature and beauty.
The elves were skilled at everything they did, and quickly covered Alaria. They worked in harmony with the dragons for many years, and together ruled the land. This period is called the Walk of Elves — a notable inflection within the Reign of Dragons when an enduring new people came into the world.
Eyachria the Dragon Goddess: 600,000 years ago
One dragon, Eyachria, was Nagatayora's favorite — the most noble, honorable, and trustworthy of the dragons, holding the respect of all of Alaria. Yet as she grew in eminence, she grew secretly jealous of Gaea's position as caretaker of the world. Over thousands of years she grew and grew, her wingspan nearly stretching the planes. Cities grew upon her back.
When she finally challenged Gaea as caretaker of Alaria, Nagatayora saw what she had done. Just as he had given life to all other dragons, he could take it away, and with crushing despair he ended Eyachria's life. She crashed to the ground, deceased. Her spine is still visible today as the collossal mountain range in the south of Aboyuinzu.
