Nagatayora, also called the First Dragon, the Dragon Allfather, the Dragon Lord, and Dracomingus, among other names, was the eldest of Gaea's children and the First Dragon she made to guard her world. He is the patron of all Naga.
He died in the War Against the Gray Prince, in the year of the Shattering, and he was the first of Gaea's three children to fall. He did not fight among the mortal armies the way his sister Ulvma did, nor hold a stretch of the line the way his brother Shara Bolasi did. He fought above them, in the air over the field, until Hykravones broke his body open in the sky. His blood came down still burning, and the mortals it struck did not burn but changed. From them descend the Naga, who carry the dragon-father's shape and his long memory for a wrong. That descent is told in their own history. The blood was only half of how he died. As his body broke, his last breath went the other way, west across the sea, and set there as a standing storm now called Oblivion, sealing the island where his kind hatched so it could never be found and taken. That storm is its own account.
