The Belgron are a massive, slow-moving people of the dry highlands, known for their overweight frames and distinctive purplish skin. They are their own breed and have held the broken uplands as long as anyone can record, never numerous and never crowding together. They are creatures of excess and indulgence, often solitary, claiming large territories where they can eat and lounge undisturbed.
Despite their sluggish appearance, their bulk hides a terrifying strength. A Belgron in motion is like a landslide, unstoppable and destructive. They are intelligent enough, but their minds are often fixed entirely on their next meal or comfort, which makes them seem simple to those who don't understand their hedonistic philosophy. A contented Belgron is surprisingly philosophical, discoursing on the nature of pleasure and satisfaction between enormous bites of roasted goat.
Dry, broken highlands are preferred range. Belgron have been documented throughout the Hills of Gezzeri and the White Hills, where the arid terrain and sparse human populations mean few disputes over territory. The Gezzerin, a people already practiced at going invisible when something large moves on the ridgeline, extend the same courtesy to a Belgron without needing to be told twice. Not every Belgron wanders free. Gorath warships and Free-Isles slavers take them when they can, valuing the raw strength over the complications of ownership, a calculation the Belgron remember.
The making
The cyclopes are one of the giant-kin, a one-eyed branch of Gaea's flesh, and the Belgron came out of that stock back when Gaea still shaped her flesh-peoples by name. She drew a highland line off the cyclopes and named it anew. She closed the single eye into a pair, piled on bulk past anything the parent stock carried, and set in the broad rubbery hide and the purplish color that mark a Belgron now. What she left untouched was the appetite. A body that size runs on a great deal of food and a great deal of rest, and the Belgron have arranged their whole disposition around supplying both. The solitude, the vast claimed range, the slow pleasure taken in a roasted goat and a warm rock, all of it follows from the plain problem of moving so much weight. Their hedonism is the plain arithmetic of the body. Carrying that much weight leaves little room to live any other way.

Crushing Bulk
Passive ability. Your sheer size and weight are weapons in themselves. You can make unarmed attacks that deal 2d6 bludgeoning damage. You have A2 on checks to resist being moved, knocked prone, or grappled. When you successfully grapple a creature smaller than you, it takes 1d6 crushing damage at the start of each of its turns.
Thick Hide
Passive ability. Your purple skin is thick and rubbery, absorbing blows that would cut through lesser creatures. You have +2 to defense rolls against bludgeoning damage. You are immune to the prone condition from external forces (though you can choose to lie down).
