Bu sits wedged into a narrow valley near the northern rim of the Crags of Geth, closer to Anarak than to Grisel. It is the smallest of the Griselian city-states by population, and its goblins are quieter than the confederation's usual register—less prone to theatrical proclamations, more inclined toward careful accounting of goods crossing the northern passes.
This composure unsettles the other city-states. Among Griselian goblins, restraint implies concealment. Bu's trade networks with Anarak are substantial by Crags standards, and the brood-father's household maintains written correspondence with northern merchants in a manner the other brood-fathers find deeply suspicious. Bu's goblins receive this suspicion with quiet satisfaction—being misread, they have decided, is its own form of advantage.
