Southeastern Xoth extends into the Stepsidae Peninsula—drier, rockier, more isolated than the heartland. The settlements here (Eos, Phryne, Perdik'kias, and smaller villages) are self-reliant communities of herders and fishers.

Some say Stepsidae is where the most fervent Xothic live. Away from Umlas's sophistication and the plains' comfort, faith becomes harder, purer. The peninsula's temples are austere; its priests are strict; its people are suspicious of soft mainlanders who've never struggled for their devotion.

This reputation isn't entirely fair—Stepsidae has its moderates too—but it's not entirely wrong either. The peninsula produces more than its share of zealots, Theophoroi, and priests who rise high in the Hierophancy. When Xoth needs something done without hesitation or mercy, Stepsidae volunteers.

The Gulf of Xoth defines the peninsula's western coast; the Bay of Lords curves around its northern edge. Fishing villages work both waters, and a small shipbuilding industry in Eos produces vessels that carry Xothic goods across the Greenwater Isles.
