Aster occupies one of the eastern valleys of the Crags of Geth, between the philosopher goblins of Dygon and the quieter settlement of Bu. Its brood-father lineage has cultivated a reputation for martial readiness that the other Griselian city-states acknowledge with a mixture of mockery and reluctant respect.
In practice, this reputation amounts to armor displays, impressive formation drills, and quarterly war councils that produce elaborate plans for campaigns that are never launched. Aster's warriors are undeniably well-equipped—the brood-father's hall holds a collection of ceremonial blades that no foreign visitor is permitted to leave without having explained to them—but their wars tend to resolve in negotiated insults rather than casualties. The Erasnites who trade at Aster's market stalls have learned to admire the weaponry without suggesting anyone use it.
