Her position is simple: the Neferati founded Tarkhon, lit the Evertorch, and built every institution the current dynasty exploits. The Severance was not a legitimate succession—it was a theft. The humans' continued possession of the Evertorch is an ongoing insult that accommodation has only extended. Something must be done, and if the other monarchs lack the will to act, Wadiyah will begin without them.
The other monarchs have restrained her. So far. But Khalira is preparing for a departure that the Council has not yet authorized—consolidating Wadiyah's military, cutting back diplomatic contacts with Tarkhetan, and building relationships with parties who might benefit from Tarkhon's destabilization. Whatever move she is planning, it is not distant.
