Feza is a crossroads town in the southern interior of Iqes, where overland routes from Zuko in the east converge with the forest paths leading west toward Ntando and the coast. It is small—a market square, a waystation inn, a handful of trading houses—but travelers heading anywhere in southern Iqes pass through, which gives the town an outsized commercial importance relative to its size.
Local merchants deal primarily in forest products—timber, resins, and medicinal plants gathered from the interior—transshipping them to coastal buyers. The Qindo families who founded Feza still dominate the waystation trade, though foreign-backed factors have established a presence in the market square over the past generation.
