A timber and provisioning town on the eastern fringe of Joswik, set where the farmland gives out against the Singing Trees. Loggers work the forest edge for construction timber sold downriver to Bridgeton and Bankstad; most refuse to cut deeper than a quarter-mile in, citing the sounds — harmonics that don't match any known tree or wind. The current explanation is bats. Nobody fully believes it.
The town handles overflow trade from Bridgeton's markets and maintains a modest waystation for travelers cutting inland toward the Gnomestone passes rather than taking the coastal road.
