A grove in the island's interior where the wind produces an eerie, almost musical sound as it passes through the branches. The trees here are an unusual species—their bark is pocked with natural holes that create the resonance. On quiet nights, the sound carries for miles.

Local legend claims the trees sing the names of the dead—prisoners who died on Myastor and were buried without proper rites. The more pragmatic explanation is simply unusual acoustics, but new arrivals often find the sound unsettling. Long-term residents barely notice anymore.

Some prisoners who've escaped into the interior report that the Singing Trees helped them—or hindered them. The stories contradict each other. The trees don't comment.
