Donokasi's ruins stand along the Zodine river, abandoned after Erdel's dye industry discharged decades of unregulated effluent into the water supply and left the Zodine completely undrinkable. With no safe water source, Donokasi's population could no longer drink or farm, and the settlement was evacuated. The river remains poisoned. Within the Federal Council, Donokasi is the confederation's sharpest political wound: Alacayir and Kalemeydani have repeatedly demanded reparations from Erdel, whose delegates counter that the dye trade's revenue funds the shared road network benefiting every member city. Periodic Council resolutions to fund remediation and resettlement have not passed.
