Western Xoth, between the Siddaneas River and the heartland, is dominated by Pyrgion Forest—dense woodland that serves as the buffer between the covenant and non-Xothic territories.

Pyrgion is frontier country. The settlements here—Aegicoros, Deru'or, Fonirisxes, Hippasus—are devout but practical, accustomed to dealing with outsiders who haven't taken the covenant. Trade flows through; so do travelers, refugees, and occasionally missionaries heading in both directions.

The Meilaenias River provides the main route through Pyrgion, navigable for most of its length. River towns handle much of the traffic between Xoth and the western city-states. The temples in these towns are well-funded—Lykanos blesses trade, and the traders repay him generously.

The forest itself is less sacred than Kumi Wood—no special rituals for timber harvest, no particular patron claiming it. But it's still Xothic territory, and the settlements maintain temples to all Seven. Travelers passing through will find the faith omnipresent even in the frontier.
