The city is loud, crowded, and prosperous. Merchants from across Tarkhon and beyond come here to trade, despite the heat that makes non-Neferati miserable. The money is worth the discomfort.
Architecture in Al Iwash is practical rather than beautiful—warehouses built for storage, homes built for comfort, temples that double as meeting halls. The one exception is the Lighthouse complex, which combines function with genuine grandeur.
