Misanda Mulu lies south of Lake Tonactlet Chipe, a Dalizi Confederation state occupying productive lowland and light-forest terrain between the lake's southern shore and the interior. Its capital, Sarmamyo, is the largest settlement in the state and functions as a minor administrative hub for confederation affairs in the southern territories.
The state contains five towns: Busemjansi and Kamaga in the northern reaches near the lake margin; Mbarara and Sendabat in the mid-country; and Sivava Noni on the state's southern edge. Most trade moves north toward the lake or northwest toward Samani, following natural drainage routes.
Misanda Mulu borders Mpaso to the north and Samani to the northwest. Relations with both are routine confederation business: Samani is older and wealthier and tends to act as a patron state; Mpaso shares a similar scale and coordinates with Misanda Mulu on water-rights management along their shared tributary system.
