Atyeska occupies the eastern coast of the Frostmarch Peninsula, a fractious confederation of Enti orc clans strung along the cliffed shoreline between Wolfhawk Bay to the north and the Geshwin Passage—the cold strait separating Frostmarch from the Northern Isles. The landscape is exposed and unforgiving: sea-spray and arctic wind strip the coast of significant tree cover, leaving the Enti reliant on fishing, coastal raiding, and passage-trade for survival.
The confederation is loose at best. Individual clan-holds—Anulgix, Chigulax, Chiyaqax, and Snow Creek among them—each hold their own territorial waters and answer to no central authority. Unity emerges only under common threat, most persistently the Danaki minotaurs of neighboring Danak to the northwest, against whom the Enti have fought an intermittent war of raids and reprisals for generations.
