The Shyoka Saseidi are a people of the gnome, not a separate lineage — forest-dwellers of Nykotheryx Amberylika bound to their animal charges and their hidden dens by tradition and place, not by any biological divide.
The Shyoka Saseidi are forest gnomes who dwell in Nykotheryx Amberylika. While the Luma elves tend the trees, the Shyoka care for the forest's fauna. They live in hidden dens beneath the roots of great pines and wear badger pelts as camouflage, emerging at dawn and dusk to tend to their animal charges.
They are wary of the ancient dragon totems scattered throughout their forest, knowing them to be dangerous remnants of a darker age. Only their priests dare approach these monuments, and even then only during specific celestial alignments. The Shyoka are friends to all burrowing creatures—badgers, rabbits, foxes, and groundhogs consider them kin.
