Davorin was a human scholar of the Romance tradition, writing across the boundary of the Great Expansion and early Seventh Dawn, who dedicated his career to the mechanics of daemon death — specifically what happens to a daemon's accumulated essence when its worshipping population collapses. The Laughing Plague's destruction of Craggus is his central case study; he uses it to derive a general theory of faith-collapse that intersects productively with Velorin's cosmological framework, despite Velorin's text predating his by eight thousand years.
