Stonetop was the one place where Camaran and the Güli giants worked the same rock. For two generations a human crew mined copper and iron from the Egül foothills on the giants' sufferance, paying a tithe of refined metal for the privilege, and the arrangement held because both sides profited and neither pushed. Camaran's frontier expeditions ended it: as the republic began claiming the foothills as a security buffer and answering giant reprisals with its own, the Güli withdrew their permission and the crews abandoned the shafts. The headworks still stand and the lower galleries are flooded. Camaran maps the ruin as Camaran territory, and no giant agrees.
