Veldrath

Daemon

Domain: protection, shields, safety; dead cohort (Craggus era); the defender deity of the rebuilding world.

Type
Daemon

Domains: Protection, shields, safety.

Era of ascension: Age of Craggus (~43,000 years ago). Cohort: dead. Died: Lost Ages (~30,000 years ago), when the Laughing Plague's terror dissolved the organized faith that sustained him.

Worshipped by: The garrison traditions and defensive communities of the Craggus-era rebuilding civilization — those who built walls, maintained watches, and prayed that another Long Winter would not come. No living culture maintains his worship. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)

Veldrath arose from the specific anxiety of a civilization that had survived catastrophe and was terrified of another. His worship was practical: prayers before the night watch, offerings before fortifying a settlement, gratitude after a season without attack. The Laughing Plague's sheer irrationality — dying laughing, the most mundane and undefendable death imaginable — was precisely what his theology had no answer for.
