Domains: Wakefulness, productivity.
Era of ascension: Great Expansion (~6,000 BSD). Cohort: current. Varn rose as the Great Expansion's acceleration of trade, construction, and manufacture created a class of people whose lives were defined by sustained effort; the prayer of "one more hour" was whispered in workshops across Alaria long before anyone named it.
Worshipped by: Merchants, artisans, laborers, anyone who prizes output over rest. Varn's worship is informal — a murmured invocation before a long shift, a candle lit before dawn work. He has no priestly class. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)
Varn is the least dramatic deity on the roster: no miracles, no mythology of note, no sacred sites. His power is purely functional. His following is among the most reliable, because productivity is a need that does not diminish with prosperity — it grows.
