Tyvak

Daemon

Domain: strength, iron, labor; dead cohort (Craggus era); god of the smiths and laborers who rebuilt civilization.

Type
Daemon

Domains: Strength, iron, labor.

Era of ascension: Age of Craggus (~40,000 years ago). Cohort: dead. Died: Lost Ages (~30,000 years ago), when the Laughing Plague collapsed the productive communities that formed his prayer base.

Worshipped by: Smiths, iron-workers, laborers, and the construction guilds of the Craggus-era rebuilding civilization. No living culture maintains his worship. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)

Tyvak was in some ways the secular arm of Craggus's divine order: where Craggus governed mankind as a whole, Tyvak governed what men did with their bodies — the forge work, the wall-building, the harvesting. His worship was physical rather than devotional; prayer and labor were the same act. The Laughing Plague, which killed through involuntary physical convulsion, was experienced by his followers as a profound desecration of the body-as-prayer.
