Ornath

Daemon

Domain: sky, lightning, storm; dead cohort (Golden Age); storm deity consumed when the Long Winter's permanent overcast lasted decades.

Type
Daemon

Domains: Sky, lightning, storm.

Era of ascension: Golden Age of Man (~155,000 years ago). Cohort: dead. Died: God War & Long Winter (~75,000 years ago), when the volcanic winter created a permanent overcast that was attributed not to Ornath's power but to his defeat.

Worshipped by: Storm-watchers, coastal navigators who read weather, and warrior traditions that invoked lightning in battle across Golden Age civilizations. No living culture maintains his worship. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)

Ornath's fall is an irony of divine economics: he did not lack worshippers because the sky became empty of storms — it was full of them. The Long Winter's perpetual overcast and volcanic ash clouds were read as proof that Ornath had been broken, not that he was active. Faith collapsed under the weight of a sky his followers could no longer believe he controlled.
