Marazin

Daemon

Domains: the slow current, hidden water, pearl-patience; current cohort; Murazi patron of the underground river.

Type
Daemon

Domains: The slow current, hidden water, pearl-patience.

Era of ascension: Great Expansion (~3,000 BSD). Cohort: current. Marazin's pool formed as the Murazi consolidated their lives around the underground waterways beneath Luquihn. Once the routes between hidden oases were mapped, a patron of the route itself — and of the years required to learn it — became theologically central.

Worshipped by: The Murazi. Their elder water-keepers carry his name as a private title; an apprentice who survives a full decade of channel-mapping and is given the title aloud has been confirmed by him. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)

He is the daemon of waiting in water. A pearl in his theology is the consequence of an oyster holding still under pressure for years — a deity-formed fact, not a craft. The Murazi work the same way: an aquifer is not engineered, it is learned, channel by channel across generations, and the channels do not yield to impatience. To rush a Murazi water-keeper is to insult Marazin in the keeper's hearing, and the rude party will be politely refused water at the next oasis they reach.
