Kaerath

Daemon

Domain: forge fire, metalcraft; dead cohort (Golden Age); fire deity whose sacred site was consumed by the Kajiit eruption.

Type
Daemon

Domains: Forge fire, metalcraft, volcanic heat.

Era of ascension: Golden Age of Man (~165,000 years ago). Cohort: dead. Died: God War & Long Winter (~75,000 years ago); the Kajiit eruption — triggered by a follower of Dyos — destroyed the volcanic-forge sacred sites at the heart of his worship.

Worshipped by: The great smiths of the Golden Age — metalworkers, weapon-forgers, those who worked with volcanic heat. No living culture maintains his worship; the Verucan dwarves who now work Mount Kajiit's flanks have no knowledge of Kaerath. (The worships edge is authored downstream on the worshipper, not here.)

Kaerath's domain overlapped with Dyos's in the vicinity of volcanic sites, which created theological friction during the God War. When Dyos's follower triggered the Kajiit eruption, the sacred forge-sites that formed the core of Kaerath's worship were destroyed in the same act. Kaerath died shortly after, as his master smiths perished in the eruption's aftermath and the volcanic winter smothered the coals.
