Unnamed hills rise in Azawahasi's central region, breaking up the flat expanse of the surrounding grassland. The hills aren't dramatic—rolling terrain rather than peaks—but they provide valuable variety: sheltered camps during storms, vantage points for spotting game, and reliable springs that don't dry up in the hot season.
Several important seasonal camps cluster in the central hills. Tribes converge here during certain times of year, making the hills a natural meeting ground where news is exchanged, marriages are arranged, and inter-tribal disputes are settled.
