The Wolfmaw is a peninsula extending roughly 30 miles into the bay, split at its tip into two rocky headlands that resemble open jaws—hence the name. The formation creates a natural breakwater, sheltering the inner bay from the worst ocean swells.

The peninsula's terrain is rougher than the mainland forest—rocky outcrops interrupt the tree cover, and the soil is thin enough that the canopy never fully closes. This relative openness makes the Wolfmaw marginally safer than the interior forest, though "safer" is relative. Ulvsjael packs use the peninsula as hunting ground, and the broken terrain provides excellent ambush positions.

The Wolfmaw's southern shore faces open ocean and catches the brunt of storms rolling in from the west. Shipwrecks dot the coastline, their timbers and cargo scattered across the rocks. Salvage is possible but risky—the noise of working a wreck attracts attention from the forest.
