A mountain-fed river descending from the Dragon's Spine into northeastern Tangiern. Cold, fast, and prone to flash floods during snowmelt. The Magrask valley offers one of the few ways through the northern mountains, though "route" is generous; it is more a chain of treacherous scrambles alongside waterfalls, watched from the village of Mornigster.
It is also the farthest any Tangier can die from the sea. A death up the Magrask in winter cannot reach the coast and the ebb tide before the body turns, so the valley families keep their winter dead packed in mountain cold and pray for an early thaw, or they give them to the ground and say nothing about it downstream.
