The Shirik River rises in the eastern Hills of Sarrow, fed by snowmelt from the Bellowing Mountains. It flows northeast toward territories beyond Gondurak's borders, eventually reaching the sea through lands the Fengruk don't control.
The river is named for Shirik, a Fengruk priestess who walked the hills for forty years after the famine, recording the locations of the dead and performing funeral rites for those she found. Her journals, preserved in Sildraz, contain the most complete account of the disaster's scope. The river she followed during her wanderings took her name after her death.
