A cluster of low, rocky hills rising from the frozen steppe of the Celedrim Plains, the Hills of Starfire take their name from the deep furrows that stripe their slopes—long gouges in the rock running at consistent angles, as if something fell from the sky at speed and dragged across the ground before the plains swallowed it. Celedrim folk who cross this region say the hills glow faintly on clear nights, a dull copper warmth visible only when the aurora is absent and the eye adjusts to the dark.
The hills sit within the broader zone shaped by the Impact Craters to the northwest. The Celedrim people treat them as the outermost edge of the same ancient sky-fall—scattered ejecta carried farther by impact force and frozen in place over the ages.
